Care & technique — quick guides

Cap markers securely after each use, store horizontally for dual-tip sets, and avoid direct sunlight or heat. Replace nibs when frayed to maintain clean strokes.

Use a colorless blender or layer while the ink is wet for alcohol markers. For water-based brush markers, add water sparingly with a brush for wash effects.

Use isopropyl for stubborn pigment markers (where safe), and refer to manufacturer guides before cleaning. Keep spare nibs for professional sets.
